Tree By Tree Campaign 

Tree by Tree is El Fundación para el Desarrollo del Centro Biológico las Quebradas (FUDEBIOL's) current crowdfunding initiative to raise funds for their continued expansion in their quest to protect 500 hectares of Costa Rican forest. In order for the land to be under their protection, FUDEBIOL must purchase it from the government at the price of $17,500 (USD) per hectare. This campaign is starting out with the goal to raise enough funds to protect 10 more hectares, and plans to increase its goal, 10 hectares at a time, until FUDEBIOL is able to meet our goal of protecting 500 hectares.

This is a big undertaking. That's why we're breaking it down, and asking for your help to protect this land, one tree at a time. To protect enough land for one tree, it costs $45 (USD). Every tree that we protect will draw an entire metric ton of carbon dioxide out our world's atmosphere. Every inch of forest protected ensures the continued survival of countless species of native animals and plants. Every meter of mountain and basin under our protection means sustained access to clean water for thousands.
